The Jackson Companies honored “Gold” by Family Friendly Initiative

WHAT: The Jackson Companies and it’s subsidiaries are one of the first to be honored a Gold Seal by Family Friendly Initiative. WHEN: October 2, 2001 WHERE: Horry County, South Carolina WHO: The Jackson Companies founded by Mary Emily and Nelson Jackson and their five daughters, includes Prestwick Golf & Country Club, Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Ocean Lakes Properties, Crystal Lakes Mobile Home Village, Camping Sales & Service and the new master planned mixed use development “SayeBrook.” DETAILS: The Jackson Companies are very honored to be one of the first to receive a Gold Seal by The Horry County Family Friendly Initiative, a community service project. The program was initiated by the Community Coalition of Horry County (CCHC) and the Coastal Organization of Human Resources (COHR). In order to receive a Gold Seal, a company must meet a specific criteria for Family Friendly status such as health care, flexible work schedules, financial packages, career advancement and personal time off for family needs. The Jackson Companies strives hard to exceed cafeteria features and employee benefits.

The Jackson Companies employees 180 year round employees and swells to approximately 350 employees in season. The philosophy at all of it’s subsidiaries is that everyone is a teammate and work together as a team to obtain their goals. In a recent survey conducted throughout the company, almost all of the employees stated that the Jackson Companies is an excellent place to work with positive cooperation and communication among teammates.
