Free Digital Cable TV on Campsites

Sept. 11, 2023 – Spectrum’s Channel Lineup mostly resolved | Spectrum and Disney resolved many channel disputes on 9.11.23. On Sept. 1, 2023, Spectrum’s channel lineup was impacted by Disney Owned Channels. On Sept. 11th most channels were restored. Freeform seems to be the channel in Ocean Lakes’ lineup that is still impacted. Learn more about this on Spectrum’s explanation page.

Program your TV once you arrive on site:

Turn on your TV and, if you are lucky, it might be one that can “Program” itself (perform a channel search). This process can take several minutes (patience required).
You‘ll probably need to program your TV with a remote. Here’s a general example:
1. Press the “Power” button to turn on the TV.
2. Press the “Menu” button.
3. Select “Set-Up,” “Channel,” “Channel Search”
4. Select “Antenna” then “Cable”
5. Select “Auto Program/Auto Tune” then “OK.”
It will take several minutes to program itself.

Spectrum converted all of Ocean Lakes’ campsite cable to all digital on March 5, 2018.
• Spectrum advised us that most TVs work. Tube televisions and flatscreen TVs manufactured prior to 2010 do not work.
• The Seiki brand TV rarely works with digital cable (QAM issue).
• Your camper TV must have a QAM tuner.
• The majority of Westinghouse TVs cannot be programmed.
• The splitter inside the camper may not be heavy duty enough and may need to be replaced. Ocean Lakes RV Center has found this rare issue.

When asked for your address, give the following information:
- 6001 S. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach (the address to Ocean Lakes Family Campground)
- Give your site number as the “apartment number”
DO NOT give the address to your specific site (for example: 4405 Scallop Drive). This will cause issues identifying your account and delay resolving the problem. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
