1st Annual Native American Educational Heritage Day
Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 10 AM until 4 PM
Come out and enjoy a full days’ worth of learning all about Native American history. There will be dancers, drummers, storytelling, demonstrations, and so much more. The event is taking place behind the Nature Center Discovery Lab on Lake Magnolia (behind Sandy Mart).
This event is FREE and open to all Ocean Lake’s guests, it is not open to the public. We held the inaugural event last October and received great feedback from our guests and the participating tribe members.
Please stop in and tour the Nature Center, especially the South Carolina Room, featuring a display on our regional and local tribes. Displays include contributions from area tribes, who assisted with our educational efforts.
