Bluegrass in May: Bluegrass on the Waccamaw

Bluegrass on the Waccamaw stage photo

Located about 18 miles from Ocean Lakes Family Campground is historic downtown Conway, South Carolina.  The streets are lined with sprawling live oak trees covered in moss and filled with history.  The Waccamaw River, dark as tea, meanders along beside the railroad tracks, together they once provided the mode of transportation that helped Conway grow and its people prosper.  The history and culture of this friendly little town can be seen and felt as guests stroll through the downtown area.  One of the best days of the year to hear the culture is in May at the old Peanut Warehouse....

...please note that "Bluegrass on the Waccamaw" and "Friday Night Showcase" are sponsored by a non-profit organization for the preservation and promotion of bluegrass music. These events are not held in our campground. However, we are proud to be a sponsor and happy to help promote them!
